Hybryd are a punk rock band formed in West Sussex in 2023. The lineup consists of George O’Connell, Alfie Jones, and Akira Trembath-Knight — three close friends who met at secondary school and bonded over their shared love of music. George and Akira began playing together before inviting Alfie to join, completing the trio. The band’s sound combines punk rock, classic rock, hard rock, and metal, creating a dynamic blend that has earned them growing recognition across the South Coast. Their first live performance took place on 28th September 2024 at the Aldingbourne Community Sports Centre and Social Club. The gig was a success, leading to repeat bookings and a steady rise in local popularity. Through word of mouth and online promotion, Hybryd quickly became a sought-after name for local events, including a Battle of the Bands competition where they placed in the top three. After a standout show in Bognor Regis on 7th September 2025, the band was invited to record at a local studio, where they completed their debut single “Anymore” in just an hour and a half — a testament to their chemistry and professionalism. A collective effort, “Anymore” is an emotional rock ballad that captures the band’s passion and authenticity. Released on 7th November 2025, it marks the beginning of a new chapter for Hybryd and will feature on their upcoming debut album, Hybryd, named after the band itself.
